Hungarians Don’t Keep in Line
Western Europeans, especially British and Germans, complained that Hungarians don’t seem to know how to form a line. People are always crashing in front of the line without looking the people they cut off in the eye.”
They also complain that on the escalators, especially in the underground, that people who stand still do not stay on the right, leaving space on the left for others who are in a hurry to pass through.
An American complained that in the fog, many Hungarians walk in the middle of the street when it is almost impossible for drivers to see them. They do this on snowy and icy roads as well, making it difficult to slow down and turn away from them without losing control of the automobile. She is especially paranoid about drunk people who walk out into the street from the sidewalk forcing drivers to be on the alert at all times.
Hungary, standing in line, keeping rules
