Budapest Playrounds: Margaret Island (Margitsziget)

One of the best playgrounds in Budapest is the large, modern playground on a hilly area of Margaret Island. There are many different play corners according to age: from 0 to at least 14.

With lots of shade from tall trees, and lots of space to play. There is even a rubber basketball / football field.

While children happily spend one.two hours here, parents can get a snack, drink and toilet in the Alfréd Hajós pool next door.

How to get there: District XIII. If you enter the Island from Margaret Bridge (Margit híd), the playground is to your left between the open sports rink and the Hajós Alfréd Swimming Pool.
