Spend Time on Castle Hill, Buda Castle
Spend some time on Castle Hill: walk around the Castle District with the Buda Castle and Matthias Church.
Filled with quaint little cobblestone streets, historic buildings which are a couple hundred years old, the Castle, and Matthias Church. Definitely worth exploring and spending half a day strolling in this area.
You can enjoy a breath-taking panorama of Budapest from the Fisherman’s Bastion and from the Buda Castle courtyard.
In between, stop by Ruszwurm Cukrászda, a delightful, more than 100 year old cake-shop and coffee house just off of Szentháromság tér (Trinity square) for some tasty refreshments.
How to get there:
Take the red Metro line to Moszkva tér, and then the “Castle Bus” (Várbusz) from the top of the square (climb the steps).
